Veridyne Inc. is a Gold Sponsor for the Maryland Pulbic Purchasing Association (MPAA) Inaugural Reverse Trade Show being held at Martin's West in Baltimore, Maryland on October 16, 2007.

The MPPA Inaugural Reverse Trade Show is an opportunity for vendors to meet face-to-face with purchasing professionals from across Maryland, Maryland state, county and municipal government, schools and more. The MPPA is a professional organization comprised of over 300 procurement professionals throughout the State. MPPA, Inc. members represent various public purchasing entities including the federal government, state, cities, counties, colleges and universities, libraries, hospitals, commissions and other public agencies. MPPA, Inc. is the local chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), which has over 70 chapters in the United States, Canada, and internationally.

Veridyne Inc. awarded a State of Maryland COTS Master Contract

Veridyne Inc. was awarded a Master Contract for the Commercial Off-The-Shelf Software (COTS) RFP #050B7800012 by the State of Maryland.

Through the Master Contract for the Commercial Off-The-Shelf Software RFP the State of Maryland will have a flexible means of obtaining products and services, quickly, efficiently and cost effectively by issuing Purchase Order Requests for Quotations (PORFQs) specific to its needs. The scope of the contract encompasses three functional areas: COTS Software, Installation and Training Services, and Software Maintenance. The term of the contract is for five (5) years and it will be an Indefinte Quantity Contract.

In regular email, each time a user replies to or forwards an email, they duplicate the history into a new, unrelated email. With many copies of the email circulating around the infrastructure, controlling and auditing it is very difficult. TransMail has a unique architecture in which each forward and reply is automatically referenced back to the original copy – so there is a single instance of each message in a database.

TransMail can be accessed via a Microsoft Outlook Add-in, web interface or Blackberry client. It is just as easy to use as regular email, and provides a unified user experience when combined with existing email systems.
TransAct Server (which supports TransMail) is a J2EE application that runs on industry-standard middleware, such as JBoss and Oracle. It can also be connected to an existing Active Directory, or other LDAP directory service.
